Statement of Faith
The Fall and Redemption
We acknowledge the fallibility and fall of the first man, Adam, who committed the first sin alongside Eve in the garden, thus leading man to work on the Earth thus creating distance between man and God. This distance can only be diminished through obedience to Christ and humbling ourselves to Jesus (Romans 3: 19, Matthew 16: 24-26).
The Nature of Christ
We believe in Jesus Christ as the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, truly one with the Father and the true Messiah foretold in the Old Testament (Isaiah 7:24, Isaiah 9:6-7, Isaiah 53: 3-5 & 10-11, Isaiah 61:1-2) born of the Virgin Mary and conceived by the Holy Spirit (Matthew 1:18, Luke 1:35; Isaiah 7:14; Luke 1:27-35). In John 1:29, Jesus is called the Lamb of God who takes away the sins of the world. We believe that Jesus was the sacrifice of atonement for the sins of the world and He will come again in glory to judge both the living and the dead (1 John 2:2).
Repentance and Spiritual Gifts
As sons and daughters of the one Holy God, we profess that Jesus died on the cross and resurrected on the Third Day. We acknowledge baptism for forgiveness of sin and we call upon Him in repentance for all sins past, present, and future (Acts 3:19). We acknowledge that He has bestowed upon His children the spiritual gifts of the Holy Spirit to sanctify and redeem the world as revealed by God (1 Corinthians: 4-11).
Jesus is the Great Physician
We believe Jesus is the Great Physician who heals all sickness and purifies us through repentance and humility (Matthew 4:23-25 and Psalm 103:3). As His children and made in His image (Genesis 1:26), we are to partner with Him to bring healing and hope to the marginalized, poor, and downtrodden (Acts 1:4-15) No one is to be caste away, we are to love others and seek their healing by walking alongside them.
The Great Commission
We believe Jesus Christ is the head of the church and body (Ephesians 1:22-23) and He has commissioned us to boldly go out into the world to profess the gospel (Matthew 28:19-20) to those who do not know Him and we come together as a collective body to worship Him and fulfill this mission.
Heaven and Hell
We acknowledge the eternal life in Heaven for those who dedicate their lives to living and sharing His truth and revelation to the world ((2 Peter 3:13; Revelation 21:22). And we acknowledge eternal damnation of Hell that awaits those who do not follow Him in rebellion (Matthew 25:41-46, Mark 9:43-48, Hebrews 9:27; Revelation 14:9-11, 20:12-15, 21:8)
The Second Coming of Christ and the Holy Word of God
We believe Jesus will come again as He did on the day of Pentecost (Acts 1:2-11) and will rightly judge the living and dead as King of Kings and Lord of Lords (John 14:1-3, Matthew 24:30, Revelation 19:11-16). We acknowledge the Bible as the Holy Word of God and the divine instruction for how every Christian ought to live on earth (2 Peter 1:20-21; 2 Timothy 3:15-16).
