The Mission & Vision
DOXAcademia is a 501 (c) (3) organization that serves as a Christian network and ministry to bring together educational experts in k-12 and college-level public, & private schools, homeschools, co-ops, to serve as present and future leaders in academia. OUR hope is to gather together bright and courageous minds to lead and transform the educational future of our nation.
Those who join DOXAcademia are Christian by faith and inspired by the word of God and the Holy Spirit mission to bring God's love, grace, mercy, and hope to the schools and children in which they serve. The mission is to use our unique individual God-given gifts, talents, inspirations, dreams, and pursuits for the greater glory of God.
DOXAcademia supports no political party but does boldly identify with its statement of faith.

MEET THE BOARD

Rania Assily, President
Rania has 20 years of teaching higher education history and civics courses to diverse learners all over Northeast Ohio.
Rania has facilitated numerous living history programs and has developed expertise in curriculum development in civics and history, advising her students in academic-related coursework and college transfer, and professional development for instructors aiming to equip their students for the workforce and post-secondary education. Her passion is to bring Christ into her and others' teaching vocation and promote networking, support, and resources for Christ-centered educators.

Paloma Smith, Secretary
Paloma is a psychotherapist with 6 years of experience, specializing in the treatment of depression and anxiety in adults. She also worked for two years as an internship teacher, mentoring college students in a public school.
As a cradle Catholic, Paloma is always looking to have stronger conversion in order to glorify Our Lord in the best way He allows her to. She has also served for 8 years as a catechist, preparing youth for the Sacrament of Confirmation. Her work is guided by a deep desire to facilitate healing and a commitment to supporting a spiritual well-being.

Grace Istenes, Treasurer
Grace is a cradle Catholic who lost her way in high school, but God called her back to Him. Her husband and her got married in the most beautiful Catholic Church in Cleveland, St. Stanislaus and have found community and the motivation to help out where they can. She obtained a degree in chemistry and is currently a paint chemist. Her love for science strengthens her faith in and love for God.
Grace is thrilled to be on the board for this organization. In this world, the Lord is so desperately needed. As someone who desires to have a family one day, she has so much hope that this organization will help shape a better educational future for her kids.
